Our Services

Start dental care with the very first tooth! We recommend bringing children in for their first appointment when their first tooth comes in or around their first birthday, whichever comes first. That first appointment includes a quick exam, dental hygiene education, information about tooth progression, an overview of pediatric dental care, and tips to keep your baby’s teeth healthy.
Twice a year! Regular dental checkups, along with professional cleanings, are essential to your oral health. We conduct routine checkups and dental cleanings to help our patients prevent or treat any oral health problems. A regular checkup includes a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth and gums, digital X-rays (when necessary), oral screenings, and professional cleaning, leaving your teeth looking and feeling their best.
These images provide insight into the health of your teeth and surrounding bone structure and aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
This is a minimal intervention approach to managing decay in primary or baby teeth by placing preformed metal crowns, without the need for drilling or local anesthesia.
If you play sports or do activities where your teeth are at risk, ask about our custom-fitted mouthguards. They are also be used to treat clenching or teeth grinding (bruxism).
This approach emphasizes preserving as much healthy tooth structure as possible while treating dental issues, focusing on preventive measures, early detection of dental problems, and minimally invasive treatments to maintain oral health. Minimal intervention dentistry aims to reduce the need for extensive dental procedures.
This quick and easy treatment helps to prevent decay and cavities on the chewing surfaces of the molars. Sealants are painted directly on the teeth in order to smooth out deep grooves and pits, making it harder for plaque and bacteria to accumulate in these areas. This preventive treatment is highly effective for both children and adults.
Fluoride helps prevent tooth decay by strengthening the enamel. Fluoride treatments involve applying a concentrated fluoride solution to the teeth for individuals at higher risk of cavities.
We remove or modify the frenulum to address issues such as tongue-tie or lip-tie, which can affect speech and oral function.
Invisalign First is an alternative to traditional braces for straightening teeth, specifically designed for children. It uses a series of clear, removable aligners that are faster, more predictable, and more comfortable than other orthodontic options for growing children.

Early Intervention Orthodontics

Interceptive orthodontics includes arch expanders, spacers, and tooth space maintainers for children to aid proper growth and positioning or for orthodontia later.

Preserve space in the dental arch when a primary tooth is lost prematurely, preventing adjacent teeth from shifting into the empty space.

Influence the growth of the jaw bones in order to achieve proper alignment.
Target the muscles involved in oral function, to correct issues related to muscle activity and function.
Through appliance or Invisalign helps widen the upper or lower dental arch, creating additional space for proper tooth alignment.
Discourage these oral habits, which can affect dental development.

As a specialist in pediatric dentistry, Tusk Dental Co. is proud to offer

Personalized dental care for children with special health care needs
We offer personalized care for children with specific needs or complex health conditions. This approach considers the patient’s medical history, genetic makeup, lifestyle, and other factors to provide more effective and targeted care.

Care coordination with a medical care team
Care coordination is a crucial aspect of healthcare that involves organizing and integrating all aspects of care across multiple providers and settings – including dental care. Effective care coordination ensures that patients receive the right care at the right time, avoiding unnecessary duplication of services and preventing gaps in care.

Sensory Adapted Dental Environment (SADE)
We create a dental environment that is adapted to the sensory needs of individual patients, particularly those with sensory processing difficulties or sensitivities. This could include adjustments to lighting, sound, and other environmental factors to make the dental experience more comfortable for patients. It is especially relevant for those with autism spectrum disorders or other sensory-related conditions.

Advanced Behavior Guidance Techniques
These strategies are used to manage and guide the behavior of patients, particularly children or individuals with special needs, during dental procedures. This may involve using positive reinforcement, communication techniques, and, in some cases, sedation or anesthesia to ensure a positive and stress-free dental experience.
